the minutes. Lance Wang seconded. Without objection the minutes were accepted.

NEW ITEMS:

New parser bug reports:
Bob Ross reported that a new IBISCHK bug report had been received from Michael Mirmak
of Intel. Bob showed the report. Bob said he had created a simplified testcase
but had not changed the report. Mike LaBonte said the request seemed to be to get a
judgment on whether IBISCHK was correct, or the proprietary tool that was flagging
a problem. Randy Wolff said the other tool may have the problem. Bob felt that
there was nothing for us to do. Randy said it might be classified as "Not a bug".
Mike suggested IBIS should have used "Real" and "Cardinal" instead of "Float" and
"Integer", to avoid confusion. Bob agreed with "Not a bug", but felt a specification
clarification was warranted. Mike said "0" could be assigned to a real/float value,
it did not imply integer. Bob suggested adding a note about the clarification to the
end of the bug report. Mike asked if this should be handled by Known Issues, a BIRD,
or the Editorial Task Group. Randy suggested the decision about how to handle it
could be made by the Editorial group.

AR: Bob Ross to post new IBISCHK BUG216

IBISCHK development:
Bob Ross showed draft 6 of the IBISCHK contract document for IBIS 7.1 BIRDs. Randy
Wolff said a "7.0" need to be "7.1". Bob opened the draft 7 version. Mike LaBonte
suggested having the title specify that the contract was for for BIRDs. Bob had
added clarification that "Unspecified" would actually appear without quotes. Bob was
considering combining the two contracts. There was significant duplicated boilerplate.
He said the technical content was about 10 pages. Randy felt it would be fine to
combine them. Mike agreed. Bob said the recent Open Forum discussion was in favor
of making all changes at once. Mike agreed, as long as doing so would not delay the
next IBISCHK well beyond the ratification of IBIS 7.1. Bob said we would have SAE ITC
review the document before getting a quote. Mike asked if we got legal approval before
the IBISCHK700 quote. Bob felt we did. Mike noted that Radek Biernacki had expressed
an interest in seeing the contracts. Randy said Bob had sent them to him. Bob said a
vote would be needed to approve the BUG fixes. Randy felt no one had expressed any doubt
about doing that, each time it was brought up. Mike asked about "if any cases exist".
Bob said he was not yet sure any new AMI parameters used Format Corner.

AR: Bob Ross to combine the two parser development contract drafts into one
